First harvest

In Japan the first spring leaves have their own word: hashiri, the thing that comes first. Shincha, the first sencha of the season, and Darjeeling first flush are on sale for only a few weeks a year. We reserve them for you before they're even picked.

How pre-orders work

  1. You order now, at the pre-order price.
  2. The leaves are picked in spring: in Darjeeling usually from March, and shincha in Japan in April and May.
  3. The tea comes to us by air, and we pack it as soon as it arrives.
  4. We ship on the date shown with the product. You won't find fresher tea in Poland.

Pre-orders open in spring

Sign up and we'll write when pre-orders open for shincha and Darjeeling first flush. The number of first-harvest packs is limited.

Why it's worth the wait

Shincha has the most fresh aroma in the first weeks after the harvest: it is sweet, green and light as a spring morning. Darjeeling first flush smells of flowers and green apple. With every month both teas lose a little of that freshness, which is why we ship them as soon as they arrive.
